NACTR Mourns the Passing of Board Member Carl Turgeon

It is with great sadness that we, the Board Members of NACTR, learned of the passing of Carl Turgeon. We extend our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him during this difficult time.

Carl was a visionary leader whose work in circularity and sustainability left an indelible mark on our sector. As Circularity Manager of Renaissance Montreal Goodwill, he spearheaded innovative programs that advanced textile reuse, social enterprise, and inclusive employment. His ability to align environmental responsibility with community impact was truly exceptional.

In his role as a board member of NACTR, Carl was a tireless advocate for national collaboration and policy advancement. He brought clarity, purpose, and strategic insight to our board, helping shape the future of charitable textile recovery across Canada.

Carl’s legacy is one of integrity, innovation, and service. His contributions will continue to influence our work and inspire those committed to building a more sustainable and equitable future.

Please extend our deepest sympathies to his family. We hope they find comfort in knowing how profoundly Carl was respected and admired by all who worked alongside him.

With heartfelt condolences,

NACTR Team.
