Have you ever wondered what happens to the clothing you donate?
We’re inviting Canadians to share their experiences and perspectives to help improve how clothing and textiles are donated, reused, and kept out of landfill.
Who can participate?
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Live in Canada
- Can read and write in English
Why this matters
Across Canada, millions of pounds of textiles are donated every year, but not all of them can be reused as intended. In fact, a significant portion is lost due to avoidable issues like damage or improper preparation.
This research, conducted in partnership with the National Association for Charitable Textile Recycling, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Divert NS, and Greenspring Bioinnovation Hub, aims to better understand:
- How people donate clothing and textiles
- Where donations are made
- Why people choose to donate (or not donate)
Whether you donate often, occasionally, or never, we want to hear from you.
What’s involved
- A short online survey (10-12 minutes)
- Fully anonymous participation
- You may withdraw at any time before submitting your responses
At the end of the survey, you may choose to enter a draw for a $100 gift card to any thrift store of your choice!
